This site and its content is for educational and informational purposes only.

Science at Your Doorstep has two main types of material: written content and images. I’ll address the copyright use of each individually.

The written content is currently based on research from textbooks, science journals, educational websites, and college lectures. I do not yet hold a degree in any of the subjects on this blog, so the primary research is not my own and some information may be outdated or not described accurately. All articles are written based on my best understanding of the information. All sources are currently cited at the bottom of my About page. No copyrighted written information is reproduced exactly in its original form. The point of Science at Your Doorstep is to present all information with my own creative spin in order to make it more accessible and understandable to my audience.

Some images are my own and branded with my website name (or, currently, with an inactive web address that I previously used: perseshow.wordpress.com). These, you are free to reproduce and distribute for any noncommercial purpose not connected with any illegal activities, provided that the branding is not removed, and you notify me via the contact form below. Most images, however, are not branded with my website name and are owned by a third party. These may be copyrighted material, the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. Section 107 of the Copyright Act allows limited use of the copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holders, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. These are called “fair uses” and are permitted even if the use of the work would otherwise be infringing. Because Science at Your Doorstep makes no profit and reproduces this material solely to supplement the written material of educational articles, I believe my use of these images constitutes “fair use.”

If you wish to use copyrighted, third-party material published on this site for purposes that go beyond fair use, you must obtain permission from the original copyright owner, and I take no responsibility for your improper use of the material.
